Dear Reader,
The purpose of the paper is to question, investigate, and rationalize if DU’s Greek life serves a purpose, and/or if it is a positive aspect of the University of Denver’s campus. The research, which was conducted on undergraduate University of Denver students, helped determine if current students believe that fraternities and sororities are beneficial to the current student life and campus. The research was conducted via survey, in which I asked students various questions about Greek life, student activity, and Greek participation. I also used outside research throughout my essay which compares and contrasts statistics from campuses that do and do not have Greek life, to further support the paper and my thesis.

The topic of the essay seems very clear. The writer outright says exactly what her paper is about. Also she explains her research method well letting the reader know how it was conducted. As well as what the main theme of the research was which was to see whether or not Greek Life is beneficial. She also uses research that compares DU Greek life to other campuses to see how they compare and how Greek life affects other campuses.
ReplyDeleteThe draft and process note are closely related. The one main thing is that some clarity is missing. How are you going to relate your experience in Greek life in your paper? That could bring a certain bias making your paper unreliable. I would recommend not talking to about your personal experiences and solely concentrating on what you got in your research. I also like the comparing other campuses because it provides and an idea on how DU’s Greek life unique.
